Tanner joined the Thiensville-Mequon Small Animal Clinic family as our clinic cat in June 2020. He had been abandoned at a shelter due to the condition of his eye. The shelter brought him to us and Dr. Mitchell discovered that Tanner’s eye issue was due to a medical condition called entropion, or the rolling inward of the eyelid. This caused the eyelashes to rub on the surface of the eye leading to pain and discharge. Dr. Mitchell did corrective surgery on Tanner’s eyelids so that they no longer roll inward. Since his surgery in June, Tanner has captured the hearts of the clinic staff and we decided to formally adopt him. Tanner enjoys playing with wand toys, hiding in boxes, being held and carried around the clinic, or joining our staff in the breakroom for lunch.
