Dr. Becca Raffel was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Raffel started her career in veterinary medicine in 2006 as a receptionist; she was also a technician prior to veterinary school. Dr. Raffel is a 2017 graduate from the DVM Program at Michigan State University; she joined the Thiensville-Mequon team in February 2018. Dr. Raffel is a strong supporter of the American Animal Hospital Association and is a member of the Membership Audit and Control Committee as well as the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, where she serves on the non-scientific continuing education committee. .
Dr. Raffel’s professional interests include surgery, anesthesia, and internal medicine as well as the mental health and wellbeing of veterinary professionals. During her free time, she enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, working out, gardening, playing volleyball, and traveling as much as possible. Dr. Raffel currently resides in the Milwaukee area with her three furry feline children, Eli, Arwen, and Tanner.
